The U.S. dollar was mixed Thursday morning against other major currencies in European trading. Gold prices were mixed. Other dollar rates compared with late Wednesday included: 107.12 Japanese yen, up from 106.87; 1.1775 Swiss francs, down from 1.1788, and 1.2381 Canadian dollars, down from 1.2399. The British pound was quoted at $1.9132, down from $1.9175. Gold traded in London at $433.40 bid per troy ounce, up from $432.80 on Wednesday. In Zurich the bid price was $433.58, down from $434.25. Gold rose 75 cents in Hong Kong to close at $433.25.
