The Canadian dollar hovered at a six-week low against the U.S. currency on Monday and market players said technicals may push it below 80 U.S. cents. It was at C$1.2468 to the U.S. dollar, or 80.21 U.S. cents, flat from C$1.2467 to the U.S. dollar, or 80.21 U.S. cents, at Friday's session close. Over the weekend, Canadian Finance Minister Ralph Goodale said Canada's companies have so far adjusted surprisingly well to the stronger Canadian dollar and that the twin U.S. deficits posed the biggest threat to Canada's economy.
