The dollar rose to a new five-month high against the yen on Tuesday, extending the previous day's gains on expectations of aggressive interest rate rises by the U.S. Federal Reserve.
Traders said the dollar touched a high of 107.38 yen , its highest level since late October. It fetched 107.17 in late U.S. trade on Monday.
