Consumer prices in the German state of NRW rose in March by 0.4% month-on-month and by 1.7% year-on-year, the state's statistics office said on Thursday.
In February, prices in NRW rose by 0.3% month-on-month and by 1.7% year-on-year.
Data for six major German states are used to calculate a preliminary figure for the whole of Germany.
