28 February 2005, 16:50  Dollar Falls Against Other Major Currencies, Gold Is Up in Europe

The U.S. dollar fell Monday against other major currencies in European trading. Gold prices rose.
The euro was quoted at $1.3262, up from $1.3185 Friday.
Other dollar rates compared with late Friday included:
104.33 Japanese yen, down from 105.13;
1.1603 Swiss francs, down from 1.1693,
and 1.2306 Canadian dollars, down from 1.2393.
The British pound was quoted at $1.9239, up from $1.9145.
Gold traded in London at $436.03 bid per troy ounce, up from $434.10 on Friday.
In Zurich the bid was $436.30, up from $433.00.
Gold rose $3.70 in Hong Kong to close at $436.65.
Silver traded in London at $7.35 bid per troy ounce, up from $7.24.(Reuters)
