25 February 2005, 16:03  Dollar Is Mixed, Gold Down in Europe

The U.S. dollar was mixed Friday against other major currencies in European trading. Gold prices fell.
The euro was quoted at $1.3156, down from $1.3202 Thursday.
Other dollar rates compared with late Thursday included:
105.31 Japanese yen, down from 105.38;
1.1700 Swiss francs, up from 1.1680,
and 1.2424 Canadian dollars, down from 1.2473.
The British pound was quoted at $1.9067, down from $1.9079.
Gold traded in London at $432.40 bid per troy ounce, down from $432.50 on Thursday.
In Zurich, the bid was $431.50, down from $433.08.
Gold fell $2.30 in Hong Kong to close at $432.95.
Silver traded in London at $7.28 bid per troy ounce, up from $7.27.
