23 February 2005, 14:22  Dollar, Gold Mixed Against Other Major Currencies in European Trading

The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Wednesday. Gold prices also were mixed.
The euro was quoted at $1.3211, down from $1.3219 Tuesday.
Other dollar rates compared with late Tuesday:
--104.81 Japanese yen, up from 104.13
--1.1643 Swiss francs, up from 1.1637
--1.2290 Canadian dollars, down from 1.2313
The British pound was quoted at $1.9085, up from $1.9050.
Gold traded in London at $433.25 bid per troy ounce, down from $434.60 on Tuesday.
In Zurich the bid price was $433.30, up from $433.20.
Gold rose $2.80 in Hong Kong to close at $433.55.
Silver traded in London at $7.48 bid per troy ounce, down from $7.51.
