31 January 2005, 15:38  Policymakers' comments ahead of G7 meeting

G7 finance ministers and central bank chiefs are set to broach currency problems during a regular meeting of the club of industrialised nations in London on Feb. 4-5, at a time of dollar weakness and record U.S. deficits.
In particular, China has been under pressure to let its yuan currency strengthen to help balance global growth and resolve a massive U.S. current account deficit.
