3 January 2005, 13:51  "Mr Euro" should not openly comment on euro - Juncker

The spokesman for the Eurogroup should talk to the head of the ECB but not comment publicly on the value of the euro, Luxembourg Prime-Minister Jean-Claude Juncker said in an interview published on Monday.
"The Eurogroup and its president should be able to adress themselves very directly and informally to the president of the central bank to discuss foreign exchange policy," he told the daily Le Monde.
"But i don't think it would be wise for the Eurogroup president to branch out into commentaries about the external rate of the euro, because that would cause disorder."
