The euro was quoted at $1.3395, up from $1.3370 late Tuesday.

The British pound was quoted at $1.9225, down from $1.9274.
Gold traded in London at $442.70 bid per troy ounce, up from $441.23 late Tuesday.
In Zurich the bid price was $442.13, up from $440.40.
Gold rose 60 cents in Hong Kong to close at $441.85.
Silver traded in London at $6.89 bid per troy ounce, up from $6.81.
