1 December 2004, 13:49  Euro hits record high vs dollar again

LONDON, Dec 1 - The euro rose to a record high against the dollar for the second straight session on Wednesday as a fresh wave of dollar selling pushed the greenback down across the board.
The greenback, under pressure on concerns about the huge U.S. current account deficit, met fresh sellers on Tuesday after European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet suggested the bank was unlikely to intervene to stem the euro's rise.
"Today's move is more technical than fundamental. Corporate hedgers who missed the initial rally in the euro/dollar are now buying," said Shahab Jalinoos, senior currency strategist at ABN AMRO.
By 0755 GMT the euro had risen to $1.3335.
