VIENNA, Nov 29 - Recent movements in the euro currency are not welcome, European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet said on Monday.
Asked during the question and answer period at a conference on European Economic Integration whether he was concerned about the euro's strength and the economy, Trichet said his position was well known. He said he would repeat his comments made in Brazil last week.
"Friday afternoon I said very clearly that the recent move are unwelcome, as simple as that," Trichet said.
