LONDON, Nov 23 - British car production fell in the three months to October, led by a deepening drop in production for the domestic market, the Office for National Statistics said on Tuesday.
Total car production fell 4.2 percent in the three months to October compared with the prior three month period and was also down down 5.1 percent on a year ago.
Domestic car production slipped 15.6 percent in the three month period compared with the prior three months and was down 16.0 percent on a year ago.
Production for export slipped 1.1 percent in the three months to October on the prior three months but was down just 0.3 percent on a year ago.
