Japanese consumer confidence weakened in September after rising the previous month, a government survey showed on Thursday. The Cabinet Office survey showed the sentiment index for ordinary households, which includes views on income and job conditions, fell 3.1 points to 46.1. An "ordinary household" is a household with two or more people. On the outlook for prices, 47.8 percent of ordinary households expected a rise in prices over the next year, up from 39.3 percent in August. Following is a breakdown of the figures. ||||
