U.S. stocks opened slightly lower on Thursday after a key report showed higher-than-expected inflation and more deadly violence in Iraq weighed on investor sentiment. The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> fell 15 points, or 0.14 percent, at 10,364.18. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was down 2.28 points, or 0.20 percent, at 1,131.28. The technology-laced Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> slipped 6.90 points, or 0.33 percent, at 1,991.66.|||
