Japan's Nikkei share index erased early gains to close lower on Monday after a drop in Asian technology shares put a damper on their Japanese peers, including Toshiba Corp <6502.T>. The technology-sensitive Nikkei <.N225> finished down 0.31 percent at 11,491.66, adding to Friday's 0.42 percent fall from a seven-week closing high marked in the previous session. The broader TOPIX index <.TOPX> slid 0.15 percent to 1,158.54. But declines in the overall market were limited as investors bought machinery, construction and other domestic demand-oriented issues after strong machinery orders data last week underpinned hopes for a recovery in Japan's economy.///
