Stocks ticked higher at Tuesday's open, snapping back a day after fears of geopolitical instability and high oil prices sent stocks to 2004 lows, as investors eyed upbeat earnings news from companies like Home Depot . The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 32.43 points, or 0.33 percent, at 9,939.34. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was up 3.90 points, or 0.36 percent, at 1,088. The technology-laced Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was up 15.35 points, or 0.82 percent, at 1,891.99.///
