House prices in Britain rose 2.2 percent last month to stand 18.5 percent higher in the latest three months compared with a year ago, the Halifax bank said on Friday. One month ago the nation's largest mortgage lender reported a 1.6 percent monthly increase in February to give a year-on-year increase of 17.8 percent.///
