British construction output in the fourth quarter of 2003 rose 1.5 percent on the previous quarter and was up 6.0 percent on a year earlier, official figures showed on Friday. The quarterly gain in the new figures released by the Department of Trade and Industry is similar to the 1.6 percent rise estimated by the Office for National Statistics in its calculation of Q4 gross domestic product data, and so is unlikely to lead to any revisions from the construction sector.||
