Japan's Nikkei average surged more than two percent to close at a 20-month high on Monday as a weakening yen and last week's solid domestic economic data spurred buying in property and other domestic-oriented shares. The benchmark Nikkei <.N225> ended up 2.08 percent at 11,271.12, its highest closing level since June 2002, adding to a 2.10 percent gain on Friday. The broader TOPIX index <.TOPX> jumped 2.32 percent to 1,107.60.||
