BERLIN, Jan 28 - German Economy Minister Wolfgang Clement said on Wednesday he was confident the European Central Bank was closely monitoring the euro's exchange rate and that he had discussed the matter with ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet. "I am sure, also after a short discussion with ECB President Trichet, that this development will be very closely watched by the European Central Bank," Clement said at a news conference in Berlin. "Overall, the opportunities are significantly bigger than the risks compared with last year," Clement said. "Risks come primarily from the development of the euro's exchange rate."//
