TOKYO, Jan 22 - Japan's Finance Minister Sadakazu Tanigaki and Bank of Japan Governor Toshihiko Fukui met early on Thursday to discuss economic and policy matters ahead of February's Group of Seven nations meeting, a BOJ source said. Details of the talks were not available.
Finance ministers and central bank chiefs of the G7 nations will meet in Florida on February 6-7 and are widely expected to discuss the current weakness of the dollar, which has alarmed Japanese and European officials.
