NEW YORK, Oct 9 - The euro fell 1 percent on the day against the yen on Thursday, as the Japanese currency extended broad gains. The yen continues to rise on inflows to Japan as the world's second biggest economy shows signs of picking up the pace. Early in the New York morning, the euro fell 1 percent against the yen , initially slipping to session lows around 128.04 yen. The yen was up around 0.4 percent against the dollar, but the Japanese currency's gains against the greenback continued to be capped by traders' suspicions of yen-weakening interventions after these were suspected earlier in the global day.//
