PHUKET, Thailand, Sept 5 - U.S. Treasury Secretary John Snow said on Friday he told Asian finance ministers that the U.S. economy was accelerating but the rest of the world needed to do more. "I reported that the U.S. economy is returning to higher levels of growth, but that the global economy requires Europe and Asia -- and Japan in particular -- to attain higher levels of growth as well," Snow told a closing news conference of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum. Snow also said the U.S. was designating 10 more people as members of a suspected terror organisation and freezing their assets in the United States. He said the suspects were members of a Southeast Asian militant group called Jemaah Islamiah (JI). "I am encouraging my colleagues to take bold action against this terrorist organisation and I look forward to working with our allies in the region to shut down JI's sources of financing and support and to eliminate the threat they pose to the people of Southeast Asia," Snow said.//
