22 July 2003, 13:44  UK house prices fall but at slower rate

House prices have dropped for the fifth month in a row in England and Wales, but the slide is slowing down, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors says. In June, 12pc more chartered surveyors reported seeing house price falls than those who saw rises. The RICS report also said that the number of people looking for a new home had risen for the first time in five months. It said surveyors were "confident of a rebound in the housing market". //www.fxcentre.com
