28 October 2002, 12:59  Ryanair slates EU compensation plans

Controversial EU proposals to compensate air travellers whose flights are delayed have been dismissed by Ryanair as unworkable Earlier this week the EU Parliament voted in favour of a motion which would force Europe's airlines to compensate passengers whose flights were delayed or cancelled. Compensation levels could be set at between E200.00 and E400.00 and will have to be ratified by each member state
However Ryanair has lashed out at the proposals saying that it was crazy to penalise airlines, many of which are already suffering financially, for the errors and failures of others //www.fxcentre.com
