2 September 2002, 13:45  Tax revenues down 17.4% in July

TOKYO — Japan's tax revenues in July fell 17.4% from a year earlier to 3,811.38 billion yen, marking the 11th straight month of decline on the back of a shortfall in corporate tax revenues, the Finance Ministry said Monday.
Cumulative tax revenues since the start of fiscal 2002 in April to July came to 6,625.77 billion yen, down 20.2% from the same period a year earlier. ///www.japantoday.com
