"We are looking at dollar/yen's movement with longer-term perspective, but in the shorter term I believe there is no situation in which the yen's value will continue rising further," he told reporters.
He also said, when asked for a response to Thursday's US second quarter GDP numbers, "We have not changed our view on the US economy. The US economy maintains its strengths."
