PARIS (AFX) - France's current account showed a provisional, seasonally-adjusted surplus of 4.4 bln eur over the first quarter compared with a revised surplus of 3.73 bln eur in the same period a year earlier, but down 3.3 bln from the fourth quarter of 2001, the Finance Ministry said. The gross surplus in the first quarter was 8.5 bln eur, the finance ministry said in a statement.
