The Dow ended the session with a gain of 108.96 points or 1.12% to close at 9796.80. The Nasdaq ended the session with a gain of 17.14 points or 1.09% to close at 1595.26. While a better tone was seen on the day a late session comment from Oracle that it would not be issuing a profit-warning lifted a cloud that had been around for a while and allowed tech stocks to regain positive ground. The S&P 500 ended the day up 9.21 points or 0.89% at 1049.90.
