TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Industrial output in April rose 0.2 pct month-on-month, unrevised from the earlier preliminary estimated, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said.
In March, industrial output rose 0.8 pct.
The ministry provided the following month-on-month breakdown of the April industrial data, compared with the previous estimate (and the March comparison):
Output - up 0.2 pct vs rise 0.2 pct (up 0.8)
Shipments - up 0.7 pct vs rise 0.8 pct (up 0.9)
Inventories - down 1.7 pct vs down 1.6 pct (down 2.0)
The plant utilisation in April was up 0.7 pct month-on-month, while production capacity was down 0.2 pct, the ministry said.
