The Dow industrials closed up 28.51 points or 0.29% at 9836.55 after being up more than 100 points ahead of the FOMC meeting. The Nasdaq closed down 4.66 points or 0.30% at 1573.82. The S&P 500 fell 3.63 points or 0.34% to close at 1049.04.
