TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Nationwide consumer prices in April rose 0.3 pct month-on-month after rising 0.2 pct in March, the Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications said. Year-on-year, nationwide CPI in April fell 1.1 pct, against a decline of 1.2 the previous month, the agency said. Excluding fluctuations in fresh food prices, consumer prices rose 0.1 pct month-on-month in April after rising 0.2 pct in March, it said. Year-on-year, core CPI in April fell 0.9 pct, after a fall of 0.7 pct.
