Germany's IG Metallmetalworkers union and sector employers announced late Wednesday a 22-month wage deal, including a 4.0% wage hike for the 12-month period starting June 1 this year and a 3.1% hike for the seven-month period starting June 1, 2003. Employers valued the cost of the deal at 3.46% this calendar year and 3.1% in 2003. //MarketNews
