The yen again scored modest gains vs. both the dollar and the euro in Asia Tuesday, as Japanese Finance Minister Masajuro Shiokawa appeared to play down weekend comments that the yen would trade in a 130-135 range vs. the dollar. The euro continued to edge down against the dollar, falling as low as $0.8878.
