When news hit the tapes that a small plane crashed into a 30-story building in Milan, U.S. stocks cascaded lower on fears it might be a terrorist attack. But stocks
recovered after the crash was deemed to be an accident, limiting losses
at the end of the day. The Dow industrials closed down 15.50 points or
0.15% at 10205.28 Thursday. The Nasdaq slid 8.24 points or 0.46% to
close at 1802.43. The S&P 500 ended down 1.78 point or 0.16% to end at
