TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said total construction orders in February fell 6.3 pct year-on-year after falling 14.2 pct in January.
The ministry provided the following breakdown for February, compared with the data for the previous month:
Domestic:
Private sector - down 12.4 pct vs down 2.7
Public sector - up 10.6 pct vs down 11.9
Total - down 5.3 pct vs down 6.4
Offshore - down 32.5 pct vs up 79.6
