1 March 2002, 12:50  Except for losses in technologies, U.S. share prices ended little changed Thursday

amid uncertain sentiment over the size of the economic recovery. The S&P 500 slipped 3.15 to 1106.73, while the Dow Industrials was trimmed by 21.45 to 10106.13. The Nasdaq Composite fell 20.39 to 1731.49. Volumes were active. Conviction is firm that the economic recovery is now underway, though questions remain how strong it will prove and whether it will lead to higher investment in new technologies. Add to this the lingering malaise from Enronitis and dealers voice caution over the market's outlook. Reports that a terrorist may have boarded an Air India flight to New York pressured the market in afternoon trade. Company news was quiet in the session. //MarketNews
