TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - The Ministry of Finance said its foreign exchange reserves as of end-January were 400.9 bln usd, compared with the end-December level of 401.9 bln usd.
The ministry gave the following breakdown of the reserve components:
Foreign currencies - 386.7 bln usd
Gold - 6.9 bln usd
IMF reserves - 5.0 bln usd
Special Drawing Rights - 2.3 bln usd
