TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Minister of Financial Affairs Hakuo Yanagisawa said the Banks Shareholdings Purchase Corp is ready to start buying cross-shareholdings from banks tomorrow, rather than next week as scheduled earlier. "The stock-purchasing body's managing board will be authorised today so it is possible that the body can start buying banks' cross-shareholdings from tomorrow," he told the parliamentary Lower House budget committee.
