TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Household spending in November rose 0.9 pct year-on-year following a 0.4 pct gain in October, the Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs and Telecommunications said. Telecommunications and transport registered the biggest spending increase of 7.7 pct year-on-year, followed by clothing and shoes with a 5.6 pct rise and culture and leisure with 5.6 pct. The largest decline in November was seen in housing, down 13.5 pct year-on-year, followed by education, which fell 13.2 pct. Spending for furniture was down 5.3 pct.
