WIESBADEN, Germany (AFX) - Producer prices in Germany dropped 0.3 pct in December from November but were up just 0.1 pct year-on-year, the Federal Statistics Office said. It said the 2001 full year producer prices rose 3 pct compared to the previous year. The continued slowdown in price increases was due to lower oil prices, which in December 2001 were 12.0 pct cheaper than in December 2000. Without oil prices, the index for the full year rose 0.8 pct year-on-year, it said.
