NEUCHATEL, Switzerland (AFX) -Switzerland's industrial production rose 1.9 pct in the third quarter of 2001 from a year earlier, the Federal Statistics Office said. Sales increased 3.5 pct, orders on hand were up 8.2 pct and stocks of already manufactured goods were up 7.9 pct year-on-year. New orders for the quarter decreased 2.6 pct, setting forth the decline that began last quarter after increases over the preceding two years, the statistics office said.
