TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Industrial output in October was revised to a fall of 0.2 pct month-on-month from the previous estimate of a 0.3 pct decline, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said.
In September, industrial output fell 2.9 pct.
The ministry provided the following month-on-month breakdown of the October industrial data, compared with the previous estimate (and the September comparison):
Output - down 0.2 pct vs down 0.3 pct (down 2.9)
Shipments - down 0.5 pct vs down 0.4 pct (down 3.2)
Inventories - down 1.1 pct vs down 1.3 pct (down 1.3)
Plant utilisation in October was down 0.8 pct month-on-month, while production capacity was down 0.3 pct, the ministry said.
