14 December 2001, 10:36 U.S. credit markets collapsed Thursday
as heavy-weight sellers pushed Treasury yields higher amid thin trading conditions. On a 3:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m basis, Treasury yields soared with the front end leading the charge. Yield on the 2-year note jumped 13.6 basis points to
3.074%, the 5-year rose 13.3 basis points to 4.387%, the 10-year
increased 11.7 basis points to 5.098% and the 30-year long bond climbed
6.2 basis points to 5.531%.
