TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Vehicle output in October fell 0.8 pct year-on-year to 857,508 units after a fall of 1.8 pct in September, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association said.
The association provided the following October output figures, with year-on-year percentage changes:
Vehicle output - 857,508 units, down 0.8 pct
Car output - 713,251 units, up 0.3 pct

Provisional vehicle exports were estimated to be just above flat. Vehicle output includes cars, trucks and buses.
The figures compare with the following data for September with year-on-year percentage changes:
Vehicle output - 828,207 units, down 1.8 pct
Car output - 678,422 units, down 1.8 pct
