1228 GMT - Sterling extends losses against dollar to two-week lows of $1.4445 as dollar buying gathers pace on firmer U.S. equity futures.
- Potentially brighter outlook in Afghanistan and indications Monday's New York plane crash was an accident seen also helping the dollar across the board.
- Dealers say next support for sterling lies at $1.4420 then $1.4365, its 200-day moving average.
- Sterling pinned near 10-week highs against euro at 61.15 pence , up half a percent on day.
