Currency markets were unable to awaken from its holiday induced slumbers Tuesday. The major currency crosses traded in thin ranges, as flows dried to a near halt. The yen was little changed against both the dollar and euro, hugging the Y120.00 and Y110.50 levels respectively. The euro managed to hold Monday gains above $0.9200, but traders reported minimal customer flows.
