WIESBADEN, Germany (AFX) - German consumer prices were down 0.3 pct in October from September and were up 2.0 pct year-on-year, according to preliminary figures released by the Federal Statistics Office. The office said the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP) also was also down 0.3 pct month-on-month but rose 2.1 pct year-on-year. Final data will be published in mid-November, it said.
