benefiting from rotation out of cash and back into the market. The Dow Industrials rose 188.42, or 2.1 percent, to 9240.86, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 56.07, or 3.6 percent, to 1626.26. The Dow is off 3.8 percent since Sept. 11, while the Nasdaq is down 4.1 percent. Volumes were active but not heavy, likely limiting spillover momentum from the session. "Some money is being put back to work. Given the fiscal and monetary stimulus, people are counting on an economic recovery next year," said Ryan Beck trader Jay Suskind.
